Have a French girl friend who also knows English, or have a servant boy who knows both English and French. But to get the second choice is not so easy. Best way to learn any language is first to learn how to speak and then the grammar etc.

The easiest is indeed moving to France for several months and to be with "only French speaking" people (which could not be too difficult to find as most French are very bad at speaking other languages!). The best is to work there, or volunteer as finding a job is quite difficult, then you would be oblige to speak French.
But moving to an other country is not always easy, so other ways could be to go to french courses, or learn with books, but this asks for some self discipline...
Also, you can learn through the web with site like "www.studentsoftheworld.com" and "www.studentsoftheworld.info" or "www.kijiji.com".
I wish you "bon courage" in learning this beautiful language!

I would start by signing up for a French Course, then getting the Rosetta Stone(R) French tapes and books to get extra help at home, and then having a French study partner would help also, someone who speaks little English and is interested in learning, and can help you out. Bonne chance!

sure that's genuine, yet in basic terms superficially. Grammar-smart, Spanish and French proportion many stuff in effortless, so as that that's much less complicated to learn one after having discovered the different. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, as you bypass deeper into getting to grasp the 2d, you will see further and extra diffused differences in grammar, and it may replace into complicated (you're able to get mixed up). All and all, they are the two on the comparable subject point grammatically, different than Spanish has greater verb tenses, and French greater pronouns. Pronunciation-smart in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, French rapes Spanish with a log, so regardless of language you learn first, Spanish would be person-friendly(er) to pronounce, and additionally you will by no potential get French pronunciation precise.

Go to France! Usually the easiest way to learn a language is to go to a place where there is no getting around having to speak/listen to it.

Hello,
I sucessfuly learned French after taking a few courses. The first couple of courses didn't do much for me until I tried CDs for my computer from a company called Advantage Language (they're famous because they've won a lot of awards).

The best part is, their course is only sale for a very short time at only $6.95 INCLUDING shipping and handling!!!!!! It's a steal at that price (they course includes 5 CDs).

Go to France or to Belgium (French speaking part, of course !) but if you can't, listen to the radio or TV, have French-speaking penfriends, read and practise as much as you can. French is not really easy to learn ! Good luck ...
