Try going to using people search. If that doesn't work go through child support at the local court. My niece hasn't seen her dad since she was 2 and a couple of months ago she and her mom filed child support througth the court and found her dad.

Try contacting the council in the area of Cornwall,where your dad was living and see if he's on there electoral register.
You could always put and advert in one of their papers,asking him to contact you.I don't know how much this will cost though

As you have a rough area you could look at the voters roll lists for that area. Time consuming though.
Check Friends Reunited web to see if he has registered any details that could give you any other clues (if you know his schools)
Check if the local Police station know him or of him.

have you tried People Search....if not, on your yahoo home page, click on other yahoo services, and go to people search. type in his name and see if he pops up. Lycos.com, is a people search that uses all the data bases that are people searching ones...(I think)....
