For the actual invitation, stick with the traditional wording and format:
Mr and Mrs Gracious Host
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of
Miss Blushing Bride to
Mr Lucky Groom
on Saturday, the First of April
at One O'Clock
at Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility Church
123 Swampgas Lane, Dismal Township, Georgia
If you want to include a very short personal handwritten note in the invitations, there is nothing 'incorrect' about it. A simple "Dear Janet, I'd be so pleased if you could attend. I hope you are well and your garden is flourishing. Love, Blushing" for instance.
In fact, there is nothing improper about handwriting out the invitations themselves. Technically, engraving is a 'less elegant' commercially mass produced substitute for the traditional handwritten invitations. Use the same format as the printed and engraved invites use, with each line centered and a double space between lines. (Hint: a young person with good handwriting is often cheaper than professional printing.)
Congratulations and best wishes.

Not exactly sure what you're asking. Is it your wedding and you're trying to think of what to say on the invitation??
I would just go basic: Your name and His name invite you to share in their special day....
