Dear SteveP,
To call something Sin is to accept that it is unacceptable to God. Christians believe that sin has separated them from God and the only way to bridge that separation was through a sacrifice for Sin which was God's only Son Jesus. And so for the Christian they understand what a great price Jesus paid for their sins and they are grateful and realize that they themselves deserved to be punished for their sins but instead Jesus was punished and so their obedience to God is out of love. Love for not only what Jesus had done, but love for God's character and who He is.
The Bible has much to say about those who live licentiously believing that forgiveness gives them the license to do whatever they want. Those may be hearts that have never truly accepted Jesus -- God knows all hearts and can not be deceived. So to realize that a person needs Jesus forgiveness will produce a life that aims to please God and live by His standards (though not perfectly- which is why forgiveness, mercy, and grace is necessary).
i hope that helps. Kindly,
Nickster

Hmm though i am not a christian but i do know a bit, so let me try answering yr question. Jesus will forgive the sinners only if they truly know what they have done were wrong and are wiling to repent.....Then Lord Jesus will forgive them. But if they are being forgive after a few time and they are still comitting sin then they will not be forgiven. The door to the gate of heaven wil be closed for them

The Bible in Eccelessaties says "that because the judgment against evil deeds is slow, the hearts of men have decided to do evil continually". The main theme of Christianity is love. That is why Jesus Christ said, "Love your neighbour as yourself". It does not matter if people will not hesitate to do bad things because it is what they have decide to do and it is God that will bring a change to their hearts. As for us, christians, we must continually forgive any person that offends or wrong us. A christian's duty is to live a life of love and holiness.

your'e question is a bit confusing.
Jesus forgives because of his love for man. You know that man was seperated from God in the Garden w hen Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. In Genesis 3 God made the first rpomise of a saviour when he said to the snake that 'your offspring will bite hers in the heel and her offspring will crush your head [feely paraphrased] Jesus loved us so much that he was willing to die for us so that we can be reconciled with God.
He does forgive, but not ad infinitum. One cannot treat his forgiveness as a cheap thing and when one has received it, just merely go back and sin again and again. Note how he always told people in the Gospels to go and sin no more.
2. Man has a free will and chooses what to do. God is not to blame for that.

you must have missed the second part of that statement, compadre. He said," Father forgive them(now listen close), FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO."
as far as what that means.... It doesn't mean we don't know that homosexuality is wrong. It means we don't know the full impact of it on society. Look into the butterfly effect. They may help you with that q? some

Being Christian does not mean being perfect. We are still human with all of our human failings. Only through the Salvation and Redemption by Jesus do we become perfect. ~Peace~

Hello!! :o) As I understand it... Before Jesus - man had to make sacrifices [like killing a lamb] in order to be forgiven of his sins. But God soon realized that the sin of man was far beyond any sacrifice that he [as in man] was willing and/or able TO make. Therefore - God came to earth as a man [The one we know as Jesus] and allowed that man [His Son - who is actually God - Himself] to become the ultimate sacrifice. This gave man a choice. If they wished to be forgiven of sin - they could either continue [in vain] to make sacrifices themselves - OR they could accept what Jesus [What God] did FOR them and be completely forgiven. If man chooses to accept God's gift - he will go to heaven. Even IF man sins again. But there is a catch. [If you want to think of it that way] The moment a 'saved' man acknowledged sin - he must ask God - IN JESUS' NAME - for forgiveness AND promise to try his best NOT to repeat that sin. God knows - however - that the likelihood of man being able to keep from sinning is nearly impossible - so God promises that He WILL help us IF we ask Him for help. Believing in God and accepting the gift of His sacrifice on the cross does NOT mean, "Go ahead and sin all you like - you're safe now!!" Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

Sinners should be understood and that they still have goodness in the midst of their hearts... People don't hesitate to do bad things because of so many reasons, maybe they need to do it, maybe they dont have enough faith, maybe its their moral its too complicated but only your faith can direct you...

i know myself that i sin, before i realize it`s a sin, then the HOLY SPIRIT shows me my sin, i am still carnal in nature.Paul also had this problem, some people harden their hearts to sin, which is not good, or become holy in themselves, which also is not good. the BIBLE says we, alone are responsible-to work out our salvation with fear & trembling.the only difference between a sinner & christian is grace.
