I have avoided white sugar for most of my life, and I don't regret that. For one thing, it takes me away from the things that are "just because it is sweet" urge to munch. The more sugar a thing has, the more likely it is that refined sugar is used, although you may have to add that honey is "refined" by bees, if not by humans, and not go crazy on honey, either.

As to starches, the worst offender is again white, but you can't realistically avoid white flour altogether without giving up shopping in a regular supermarket and taking to the health food stores exclusively. Do try to reduce the use of white flour in your diet, which tends to just clog up the system.

Saher pretty much hit it all, avoid sugar, and refined carbs, Fried food is DEATH ! more veggies, less fats, I lost 65 lbs using the "Special K" diet It's easy, and on the box. You still get to look forward to a good dinner at night, maybe that's why it works, GOOD LUCK, hope your results are as good as mine were. Don't cheat, and it WILL work, you have to be a tough cop on yourself, in my case I needed "Emergency service units" LOL, but, I conquered, I even caught a woman checking me out in the supermarket, LOL< that was worth a million bucks to me (thank you Honey, whoever you are )......;)
