I don't want to end up with pirate software, looking for "Microsoft Office", XP and above.

You won't find a legal copy at a car boot sale. People buy it and install it on their pc. Selling it on is illegal.
Nobody buys software for £300, leaves it in the wrapper, then car boots it for a fiver.
Try Open Office, its free;
http://www.openoffice.org
and you can download the tutorials. Its also compatible with Microsoft Office.

For the software you're looking for, my advice would be DON'T! You'll, more than likely, find that it's copied (pirated) software.

You've already received a specific response that says use OpenOffice. It's a good office program, and is compatible with Microsoft Office documents.

Download it from: http://www.openoffice.org/ The latest version is 2.0.4

Buy from a shop not a boot sale.

Don't buy from carboot, you'll find when you get home it won't work anyway. Save up and buy the real thing.
