We have just taken in a Rottweiler / Beagle cross, SHE is lovely and gets on well with our female boxer called Roxy. Her markings are typical Rottie, Black/Tan. We don't know what to call her, something not too girlie please, any suggestions?

How about Regal?

It goes quite well with Roxy & also combines the R of Rottweiler & the sound of Beagle.

How about Ripcurl? When I first seen the name Roxy I thought about all the surf brands. ie Billabong, Rusty and Quicksliver. You could probably use one of them to some sound like boy names but some a good girl name and not to girlie either and a bit unique to I think anyway.

It's very Hollywood to give your pets a double-barrelled name. How about Foxy Cleopatra? Foxy for short. Goes well with Roxy...

Hi, I just got a rottweiler X Staffy myself. She too is gorgeous. only a pup with the typical markings also...all black with tan feet. I'm happy for you to share the same name that I chose....

I called her 'Jedda' - it means BLACK LADY in aboriginal.
It's a STRONG name yet a pleasant name as well & it just fits - with a nice meaning behind it too.

hope you decide to have a 'Jedda' as well

I had a Rottweiler mix as a kid. We called her "Chips" because we found her on the side of the road and all we had to feed her were chocolate chip cookies. She ate one, lived, and had a full life. Just a thought.

I named my female lab Taylor. I didn't want something really girlish because her personality did not reflect that of a prissy dog.The best thing to do is observe her behavior and name her off that.
