My wife thinks i'm kinda weird but she likes it as much as i do.She says that my CPR technique is right and felt almost real esspecially when i blow air into her mouth and compressed her chest.I think it's my own fetish but i do felt worry if this can have a negative impact on my wife's safety.Do you guys think it's safe for me to perform CPR on her just for fun although the steps are correct?

I don't think the blowing up her lungs is a problem, but when you press on a beating heart it is very dangerous. That is why you are told to check for a pulse before giving CPR. If there is a pulse there is no reason for CPR. If the heart is expanding at the moment you are pushing it to contract, it could stop or cause vessels to burst and who knows what kind of long term damage.
Fetishes are fine, but you need to renew your training in CPR because you should know you are putting her life at risk.

OH MY GOD DONT DO IT!

well actually when you kill your wife because you broke her zyphoid process, then come and tell us if you should do it.

Yes I understand that practicing CPR is fun, you may get some pleasure out of it, but if done incorrectly, you will really srew her up. As a paramedic and a former ER nurse, I have seen CPR done wrong. did you know that it just takes a pressure of 15 lbs to fall on the zyphoid to crack it? that the equivilan of dropping a 5 lbs dumbell on your chest. Ok now you know its really not that much pressure. and when they have to intubate her chest because you puncture a lung, then you will really fell honey huh? No, it is a bad idea. get a CPR doll. they arent that expensive. you can however do recue breathing on your wife. you know what that is right? cant hurt someone with rescue breathing, except make them caugh from bad breath

No prob if you blow into your wife's mouth or press on her chest (lightly) as long as you dont go too far. In actual situation the chest is compressed forcefully which would be too painful for someone conscious (you wont be conscious once your heart stops beating). Also compressing over a beating heart might induce arrhythmia and cause dangerous and even fatal outcome. So dont compress the chest over heart... may rub/caress pretending to give compression. Have fun.

No, practicing CPR on a live human, can damage their ribs and heart. It is very dangerous. I would suggest purchasing a CPR practice manikin or a large teddy bear that is even cheaper. It really does help.

STOP THIS IMMEDIATLY! YOU ARE BOTH AT RISK OF SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS!!!

1. CHANGE OF HEART RHYTHM - This may lead to heart attack, ischemia of organs and tissues, circulatory problems, chronic heart palpitations
2. HYPERVENTILATION
3. BROKEN RIBS
4. PUNCTURED LUNGS = DROWNING

CPR IS FOR USE ON SOMEONE WHO IS NOT BREATHING OR HAS NO PULSE. IN NO OTHER CIRUMSTANCES SHOULD IT BE USED ON A HUMAN BEING!

If you really want the practise, St Johns Ambulance in Australia sells practise dolls with an instructional video.

NO! no longer except you're very careful. you may crack a rib. Or something a lot worse. remember CPR is meant to restore a individual via giving them oxygen, and to get or shop their coronary heart beating. this is un-smart to do this for exhilaration. regardless of if this is up on your spouse.

CPR is only to be used when someone's heart is not beating. You could inadvertantly disrupt the rythm of the heart beat. as for blowing air into her mouth, it might be better to get her to puff on a cigarette.

this is actually not as dangerous as the others have noted, you probably aren't pushing hard enough to compress her heart as this would be extremely painful and I doubt she would tolerate it, risk of arrhythmia is small again as long as you aren't banging on her chest as in the old CPR recommendation of a "precordial thump", (basically a punch to the center of the sternum), problem would be in breaking ribs and potential pneumothorax aka popped lung and only problem with rescue breathing would be filling her stomach with air (if your breaths weren't in sync with hers) and then her vomiting all over you. sounds weird but mostly harmless as long as you don't compress her chest too hard!!!!!
