Those martial artists who claim that they know where to strike to kill with single blows, they can end fight by kick to knee, and other stuff?

About strike someone hard enough to kill, yes that's realistic. but "secret spot" that doesn't require lot of pressure to kill is totally bullsh!t! If it was true, we would be reading about death in boxing and other martial arts everyday.

About kick to knee, knee is one of the most complex joints in body. by nature, human knees are alway bent very slightly otherwise you will be locking your knees all time. The knee cap is slippery. So to break someone knee with single kick when the person aren't locking knee is basically like try to break a 2x4 with ball hang by string in front of it. Your foot will most likely slip off and the opponent's knee will end up scraped.

Strike to throat. That's one of biggest myth. Lynrix (Can't spell it) is like a sponge. So it will be very painful but not kill them. To be able to kill someone by strike to throat is like as being able to tear a sponge in middle of hose. That mean you would have to break a hose with punch to kill which is NO easy task no

matter how much you train.

However don't get me wrong, some spots on human body are more senstive than other spots. but that doesn't mean it's that easy to kill someone with a such strike like as many people here claim. Most of the time it cause really intense pain, but not kill.

Hood 21 pretty much aswer everything else.

LOL you people crack me up! YES THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A SINGLE STRIKE THAT CAN KILL.... its called science people... not mystical martial arts... I can punch you or stomp on your temple and you can die.... or stomp on your face and you can die.... are you asking about that bullshit Dim Mak? NO... that has been proven TIME AND TIME again to be BS. There is no one that can touch someone in the chest and have them fall dead or passed out.... that's called hypnotic suggestion, or being a moron. Go watch the Dillman bullshit videos where he passes people out without touching them... or knock outs with single strikes... you will see that only the STUDENTS are the ones that pass out LOL its because they actually believe that crap.

Then you will have someone tell you that well... only 40% are susceptible to it... what? B AHA HA H AHA HA HA HA AH

I have had more than 14 people at different events try to show that to people... and each one FAILED miserably.... its a ploy to get you to pay them money..... Pressure points are even next to impossible on a resisting opponent.... and when your adrenaline is up its even harder!!! LOL i love you guys, you crack me up each day.

a fight can be ended with a strike to the knee joint-provided the target area is to the SIDE of the knee and not to the front-as the knee is a hinged joint it can only move in two directions-forward and backward-not sideways. so a well aimed strike to the side of the knee will almost certainly dis-able that leg. if you feel vindictive enough you can also kill with a single blow-to the sternum for example also a hard "deung choomuk" (backfist) strike to the temple/windpipe/mastoid area of the upper jaw will also bring the desired results. you don't have to be an expert in pressure point fighting or atemi strikes-its just a case of knowing what to hit and when to hit it. considering the vertebral column runs down the back of your neck a well placed strike can not only crush the windpipe against the vertebral column it could split it as well-while this is a rare occurance it is not an unknown one.

No, there is no Dim Mak. It's a bunch of crap. Like it was said above, no magic, just science. In acient times they didn't understand all we know now about internal organ damage and why people died days later for what they saw as no apparent reason.

The larynx however, while it is soft tissue itself, is surrounded by bone and cartilage that can be broken, and the swelling from such damage can close the airway, thus causing death. Like you said, it isn't easy and it isn't certain that someone will be killed this way, but if you can break the hyoid bone, you can probably silence your attacker from calling for his buddies.

As for the knee, many people find it hard to fight when they can't stand up and when every movement is agonizing because their knee is broken. Plus you have the ability to walk away faster than they can hop after you. I believe the majority of people, unless they're on drugs and can't feel the pain, will lose their will to continue their attack when they have a dislocated sholder, broken elbow, broken wrist, or broken knee, and if you have control of any of those broken joints, they will be in complete agony.

There are hundreds of pressure points on the human body. Some can be lethal, esp if there is an underlying medical condition. I'm not aware of any lethal points on the knee, it's more likely to be a set up for something else. A blow to the knee can certainly end a fight by causing that leg to collapse.

You don't necessarily have to be a martial artist to kill someone with a single blow. A few years ago a guy was harassed by a mob. He got a single blow to the back of his head, on the edge between neck and head. Sadly, he died a few hours later. And there are more examples. Strikes to vital areas like the troat, groin, back of the head, or nerves like the nervus vagus (disturbance of heart rhythm) can cause death. Someone with anatomical and physiological knowledge and martial training would certainly be able to cause death. With a single blow or otherwise. Notice though that the knowledge and ability to do so brings great responsibility for the practitioner.

I agree to some extent with spidertiger. Learn to create effective combinations, but implement every technique as if it were your last. Depending on where you strike you you will cause your opponent to react in ways predictable which will move him in ways creating other targets which when struck will produce another predictable outcome and so forth. I believe in the chi-thing because I've seen it demonstrated and have experienced it being demonstrated on myself. Not only by martial artists, but by other healer types who seem able to project energy through their hands. Once an instructor demonstrated the use of a tiger palm strike on my shoulder and the force of the impact was much more, it seemed, than the actual physical force behind it. It penetrated in a way I can't explain.

I dunno about a single blow that instantly kills someone, but yeah a well placed strike could definitely kill someone, and by kicking an opponent in the knee (by this I mean properly, dislocating it or damaging it in a far worse manner) you limit the opponent's mobility and ability to continue the fight; therefore ending the fight by you being able to walk away without further incident

I believe that in certain instances one hit can kill, one precise strike can end a situation. I have seen people get knocked silly from one hit.
I do not believe that anyone should ever train as if one strike will end everything.
My philosophy is do every technique as if it is your last.
When I kumite I rely on combinations and my opponents mistakes to allow me to land one clean blow to a vital target. This final blow will end things but it only comes after a sequence of other events.

I do not believe in energy power-fist chi touch stuff.

Because the angel Gabriel informed me that Jimmy Carter will emerge as the Antichrist aka Dajjal (eighth King in Rev. 17) and he's going to serve a further time period in workplace after the dying of Obama (seventh king). The angel Gabriel informed me in Aug. 1973 whilst i used to be in Phillipsbrug, Montana that Jimmy Carter will emerge as the Anti-Christ, and that he's going to difference his title, and divorce his spouse! there are without a doubt nerves, arteries and thinner bones which can be targeted to hurt more, cause damge, or kill. it's just physiology

think about it......if i punch you in the shoulder it hurts a lot less than if i punch you in the nose.

if i strike you in the throat, it'll take you out quicker than a strike to your thigh.

it's pretty simple.
