My girlfriend is having a physical and emotional breakdown which is almost certainly work related and I'm stuck here caring for her because of that idiot Jed she works with in management is not pulling his weight and pressuring her into bad deals and she's not coming to the phone because I'm hanging up. Good day.

say that you are calling on behalf of so and so because they are extremely ill and on the toilet throwing up or diarrhea, and they are having the only sleep they've had in 24 hours now, and you didn't want to disturb them so you took it upon yourself to call in sick for her.

Described what ever the illness (or fake illness is) and said she's been sick all night and is sleeping now.

Don't do it...she needs to call her job. Unless she is in the hospital(passed out) and can't get to a phone, dial for her and put the phone to her ear.

Yes..I just told them her grandma died and she was too emotional to call herself.
She lost a lot of relatives while we were together..because she never wanted to work lol

Never had to do that, but you could always say she lost her voice. Say something about looking after her and giving her hot tea w/lemon (don't overdo it) and say you'll let them know how she's doing. Don't let her answer her phone!
