ok so some so called Muslims, )which i call muslim by names, because thats what they r) commited a big crime, namely 9/11 and other attrositites, why dont people who r wrongfully accusing and generalising a whole religion a beautiful religion through the actions of a select few. i have noticed that most of these comments r coming from christains( i.e, jesus loves u comments)
doesnt ur religion teach u "love" and "if someone slaps u turn to him ur other cheek" well i dont see this happening instead what im seeing is hate, and "if someone slaps u tear them to shreds". isnt this immoral, isnt this discrimination against all religious doctrines, isnt this type of discrimination the ultimate direction to annother war, and wars in general, like the crusade. we have seen many christains committing many attrosities over the years, yet u dont see us holding them against u, (ie, hitler and the 6 million jews, stalin, and the crusades, etc..) isnt it about time we forgive and forget?
well?

like i stated although some scholars are actiong on behalf of their biased kbowledge (using only limited sources) they try to justify the killing of innocents which is amoungst the most biggest of sinns in islam. this is why we have extremists. by the way a new census states that tere are approx 1.6 - 1.8 billion muslims in the world and the number is growing rapidly

izzy: the only reason there are supporters for these causes is because ther is a loack of knowledge about the true nature of these events. also the continuous targeting of muslims and deminishing the arabs rights and freedoms (because not all muslims are arabs, only 20% are arabs), like iraq, palestine and now or soon to be Iran, they are forced to act so villianously as their last form of offense

In regards to why moderate muslims dont speak up. the main reasons for us not speaking up is not because we fear the terrorists, no, but because everytime we do speak up our words and actions are percieved negitively by the media. we always shown as "the bad guys" in this unfortunate series of events. in other words when we do speak up our voices are not heard, and if they are our words are altered to suit the causes of the media

OK, I'm going to take a stab at this one. I want to be honest, and I don't aim to offend, but some of what I say might come across harshly. I apologize for that in advance.
It's not just one event that happened. It seems that increasingly, people in the West are being told that Muslims are angry about cartoons, or protesting the comment the Pope made, or bombing London or Mumbai or Madrid or Bali. And yes, Muslims do speak up against it, but it often seems that for every one who does, there are a dozen more yelling "Allahu Akbar" in the background. It gets to be a joke when a Muslim group calls for a "day of rage," as it seems that *every* day is a day of rage for them.
Add to that a very vocal minority in the Muslim population who talk about Jihad and that the West must be overcome, while making recruitng videos that show beheadings of captives ... You can see why people start to get a bad idea.
I guess the real problem is that people just don't see much of the beautiful religion you describle. Mostly what we see is a lot of anger and violence.
Is it wrong to judge a billion people by the actions of that few? It absolutely is. But I think there aren't enough examples to counter it that would make most people reconsider.
I wish it weren't this way, and I don't see a quick and easy fix.

I am a Muslim and I agree that it appears that we as a faith are being blamed for many things. You must understand that we may all be faithful but we are still human. Humans make mistakes. However, I would like to point out the blame of 9/11. Islamists did not destroy the World Trade Centre. I would like to point you in the direction of a documentary called "Loose Change" which documents the events of 9/11. You could most probably download it off the net if you run a search. It is fairly recent and quite comprehensive and will open your eyes to the motives behind this atrocity. If you have felt hurt about the events of that day then I truly apologise for your pain, even though i sincerely believe that my religion did not commit this crime. I hope you find solace in your prayers and Allah bless us all. Salaams.

Sadly for the moderates of most religions ( Islam, Christians, etc), its the extremists that are the most news worthy. The media does not want to show the moderates living in peace with one another. The ratings comes from the violence and the threats from boths sides, muslim and christians. The moderates, seeing the news, would then form a picture of hate, although the majority of the other religion is just trying to eke out their life with accordance to their beliefs

It has all happened because of fear!!
The terrorist Muslims have caused the fear
& the oridanary Muslims don't speak up to say they don't agree with the terrorists
so a lot of people then think they are the same.
So that is how it has all got out of hand!!
The good Muslims should speak up more or are they scared of the terrorists also??

Sorry, I live in NY, what did those people do to deserve being killed like that on 911 ? Go to work to put bread on their family's table ? Your religion is an EVIL one with no good coming out of it. I watched as children cried for there mommy's and daddy's to come home, only to never see them again, I wish I could drop 25 NUKES on THE MID EAST, it's nothing but a nest of trouble for the whole world, It's not our fault that the world does not want to do business with you because you make impossible demands. The last time I checked, the Catholic church does not approve of "KILLING", YOUR RELIGION TEACHES IT ! I did NOT SEE any muslim nation, or muslim leader step forward and condem what happened on 911, and say that it was wrong, therefore our opinion of you is similar to something we would scrape off the bottom of our shoes on to the curb. Don't underestimate the power of American people, your future existance is on very thin ice.

Apparently the question has been raised by a member of the religion which is being defended by him. Fact remains that Muslims of today are more fanatic as compared to Christians of today. There have been liberalisation in Muslim countries but every time they modernised, the clergy of that country started rebelion and brought the country back to middle ages. On the other hand, Christians have not tried to do in recent times. In case, they have tried they failed.
In fact some Muslim leader who were known to be moderate have become fanatic to get a following for them.

To be fair, yes there's psychos in basically all groups.
My advice; if you don't want people to judge your people by the actions of a few assholes, BE the Mulim we SHOULD be judging you by. Way too many Muslims respond to criticism that Islam is violent and crazy bu acting violent and crazy.
So... You know, don't do that.

hello Mr !!! as you said
"I watched as children cried for there mommy's and daddy's to come home, only to never see them again, I wish I could drop 25 NUKES on THE MID EAST, it's nothing but a nest of trouble for the whole world,"
very well........u had seen a single kid crying for his parents n you want to drop 25 nukes on middle east.........this is your feeling so what would you say about muslims feeling who see thousands of such kids crying for their parents in Palestine,Iraq nad Afghanistanevery day ???n before that in Bosnia , chichniya n other??? dont u think from your calculations, we should drop thousands of nukes on respoinsible countries??? ahhh u must appreciat our generosity that still we are tolerating that all with patience......i m saying patience because muslims are not responcible for 9/11 attacks , it was inside job , an excuse to attack Afghanistan....u or your kids might know this one day.... secndly the victoms included many of the muslims in that incidence..so christiain were not the only sufferer there
Still each And every muslims condemn those attackes.if u just go through this forum u will know that none of us had ever appreciated that act.....we just hate that.killing innocents is not at all religious attitude, whether it was conducted by America itself or Alqaeda. get your ideas clear n get rid of that false propaganda about muslims, but if u dont, we realy damn care... get along with it.may peace be on u.
sorry hayhay !!!! i had used a space in your question for answering someone else.thanx for that.

People are natrually scared of what they do not understand (especially when someone who claims to be part of that something crashes a plane into a building). I guess you can't blame them. Their just ignorant. But that's what Dawah is for right?
