Well the smallest breed is the Chihuahua. Also known as the 'Taco Bell Dog'.

Height: 13 cm - 23cm.
Weight: 2-6 pounds (1-3kg)
I do not think they are cute but as you see in the media now, a lot of people do.

They can bark a lot and can be VERY hard to house train. Also, if they are not socialized enough as a pup, they can be aggressive towards people.

Price: Poor quality - $400+.
Good quality - $800+

*Some 'teacup' Chihuahua's are smaller than the breed standard. These are NOT a recognised breed and people breed them for money ONLY.
Good quality Chihuahua's can cost anywhere from $700 - $1100 for pet quality and $1200 - $2400 for show quality.

chihuahua is the smallest breed dog, very cute. a little annoying when they bark all the time, but you love them anyway, but are getting very expensive now, here in New Zealand they are now $1000.

Premature newborn chihuahuas, but no reputable breeder would sell them that young.
