in reincarnation. It is just that this particular verse bothers me:
Hebrews 9:27--And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
Bible says "men" not soul and spirit. When a person dies we say " Let his soul rest in peace" and not "let this man rest in peace". There's no point of saying rest in peace to a dead man which has no consciousness. But a soul needs prayer so it would stay on course on its spiritual journey. That's why we pray for the soul. So there's is no argument here. Hebrews 9:27 is correct.

EventuallytThe soul also dies( i think that is also mention in the Bible). What would be left is the spirit of the man that carries with him the memories to which judgement will be based upon(also in the Bible).

In my opnion, after judgement a "punishment" would be passed on declaring the next journey of a new man. This is where reincarnation comes into picture.

I am sorry if my last question elicit lots of angered Christian.

There's nothing wrong with your question. Men die but our soul carries on.
There is a saying that the good only die once but the evil ones die twice, that is saying that the person dies and the soul goes to heaven but if they are evil their soul dies also.

Dear seeker,

First thank you for expressing your opinion and your desire not to offend anyone. i share the same sentiments. With a name like seeker, i think it means that you are open to listening and so first let me say that its ok to be bothered by a Bible verse but it should be understood within the context of the verse- and no based on what you think or your opinion.

We've verse 27 above but verse 28 gives clarity to verse 27 and it says: (9:28- so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him. He will appear a second time apart from sin, for salvation.

In other words- all men will die. But when Christ died- he died as an offering for man's sins (the first time he came). When he comes again he will redeem those who have put their faith in Him.

So this passage is not making a statement about our souls (and the phrase rest in peace often uttered by the preacher at funerals-- should not be put on the same level as God's word-- the Bible). The truth is before we die- where we are going is determined by where we stand before God and that is based on whether we have a relationship with Christ or not.

This is why Christians do not pray for the soul of a dead person- every person is personally accountable to God and must answer for their lives-- and so the prayer of another isn't going to get them into Heaven.

i think that your opinion is interesting- but at the end of the day- it is not based on anything solid. The Bible doesn't teach the things that you are purporting above and The Bible tells us what God wants us to know.

Proverbs tells us that there is a way which seems right to a man but in the end leads to destruction. i am afraid that your opinion is not what God has declared in His word and at the end of the day-- God's opinion will always stand while man's opinion will falter (the Bible also says - that the grass withers but the word of the Lord endures forever).

Please do feel free to email me with any questions i can clarify for you...

kindly,

Nickster

You are really shooting into the dark.
Let's see. Yes, men die once. All men. SOME die twice. Those people will be burnt up in Gehenna/ the Lake of Fire ?
Daniel 12:2
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Also, if your religions says that, it's incorrect. Once dead, they're dead, no memories, no soul, no nothing. Their 'energy' is returned to God/ God's breath/ the Holy Spirit, which gives us life.
The Bible says that there will be no sadness or bad memories after being resurrected for the saved people. They will have a new, perfect body, like God's.
No reincarnation. - Not in the sense that we commonly think of it today.
Hope that helps, if not email me.

Jesus commissioned the apostles to teach and preach the Christianity faith. In Heb. 9:27 it says, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." This verse alone shows that reincarnation is not true. Also, reincarnation negates the necessity of the Cross because reincarnation teaches you can have different lives in which to try and "get it right." Not so in Christianity. According to the Bible, God gives us one chance to escape the clutches of sin and damnation. God has given us the Law which states that we are not to lie, to cheat, or steal. But, we all have. Therefore, we are all under the judgment of God and He will execute His judgment upon sinners on the Day of Judgment. If reincarnation is true, then there is no Day of Judgment, no need of a sacrifice, no need to trust in Christ.

A person needs Christianity because reincarnation does not remove sin. Also, reincarnation contradicts the Bible which presents Jesus with His miracles, fulfilled prophecies, resurrection, and so much more. Reincarnation denies the Day of Judgment. Also, think about this. Reincarnation works with karma, the idea that your past lives "goodness" or "badness" affects the quality and position of your next incarnation. The purpose of reincarnation is to help you develop perfect karma by which you might then achieve a union with the divine consciousness after you have learned whatever it is you are supposed to learn. The problem is that each person had a first incarnation. That means that each person then had perfect Karma since he had no previous life and had done nothing wrong. Therefore, if he had perfect Karma and didn't learn or do what he was supposed to in his first life, then what makes him think that after hundreds of incarnations with accumulated bad karma that he will be able to achieve the perfect state of union with the divine consciousness that reincarnation moves him toward? It doesn't make any sense.

But what does make sense is that there is one God who has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ and the only way to have your sins forgiven is to trust in Him and not your own efforts through various lives to try and become perfect. That is why you need Jesus, because reincarnation is not only false, it is empty.

Yes its a touchy subject. What with the Christian Church declaring that only Jesus every rose from the grave. the Church did preach the Idea of reincarnation in the beginning. but dropped it thinking that that would lead people to slough off and say I'll waste this life time and repair any damage the next time.
NO THE SOUL does not die as it is energy and made from the body of the CREATOR.It will return to the CREATORS BODY at some point.
When you say rest in peace you are talking to the soul of the person as some think that the soul is going to stay in the body until Judgment Day before being released.
Th idea of reincarnation is your souls choose to return to this world to learn either new lessons or to correct bad choices from the last time. So it can advance in growth and understanding.

sturdy answer Josh!! anyhow, the way i examine out this is that this: If somebody claims to be Christian, then this is pleased with me. It would not particularly count quantity in the event that they're genuine Christians or no longer. Who am I to declare they're incorrect for his or her ideals. they have basically as a lot good as I do to have faith what they choose. the thought the only Christian denominations that are "genuine" are people who have faith interior the trinity would not understand the way the trinity got here into being (the seen the trinity). can we have faith in a trinity? In a manner. We have faith that God, Christ and the Holy Ghost make up the Godhead. Are they one in being? i do no longer think of so. there are various stuff that lead me to think of this, yet because of the fact that wasn't area of your question, i'm going to leave it on my own. i do no longer understand why others do no longer think of that Catholics are Christian. Does every person understand how their church got here into being? What church replaced into it until eventually now it replaced into what it replaced into immediately? i think of in the event that they traced their roots, they might locate that greater than a number of the Christian religions immediately broke off the Catholic faith. i understand i'm going to get some thumbs down for that fact, regardless of if it relatively is the certainty. no you will tell me i visit hell yet God. this is as much as Him, and individually, i've got faith that if I stay my existence in accordance to Christ's teachings, I won't have a situation.
