Are you talking about the Prophet Mohammed or the guys who sprouts on the Internet?

The Prophet Mohammed went to great lengths to get a basically lawless and rowdy people ( the tribes of what is now Saudi Arabia) to respect the both the Jews and the Christians.

There were lots of mini wars at that time; but it was a pretty lawless place and turning the other cheek would have meant getting steamrollered over by the opposing forces be they Arab, Jew, Christian Arabs or non believers.

I can never understand why people feel the constant need to try and belittle the religion of others.It doesn't do the religion they claim to profess to any favours.

The past , what ever its colour is just that, past. Only we can colour the future and we had better start trying to colour it tolerant!

He didn't strengthen Arabs hate on Jews - or Muslims hate on Jews. I live in an Arab nation, and I know many Muslims, neither hate the Jews. They dont like what Israel is doing, but it doesnt make them hate Jews.
Muhammad wasn't a warlord, he preached peace, just as Jesus did. Islam means peace.
If you are going to ask a question here I understand that, but you should know the basics instead of proving how ignorant you really are.

All that Islam demanded was a peace treaty and it only had a few points to it. The big one was to keep the peace. The desert tribes were forced to surrender the multitude of little Gods that they worshipped and were using as excuses for tribal raiding and Caravan robbing. The wars with the Jews was only after the Jews attacked those around them. They were no more peaceful then than they are now.

DO U KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS , PLENTY ALOT THAT I I'VE GOT SICKENED ,
it is of the same meaning in different ways,
any way for the 1002 our religion and our prophet (pbuh) didn't spread hatery ,or encourage for fighting , all of the wars was the last resort ,This is in the cases of:
•Fighting in the case of self-defense.
•Fighting to defend the right of everyone to believe in God and practice His religion.
•Fighting against brutal oppression and injustice.
In the time of the prophet, we find that he and his people were ruthlessly persecuted and forced out of their homes to flee their beloved town of Makkah. When the prophet (pbuh) and his followers were accorded a grand welcome in Madinah, by the people there, his enemies wanted to destroy the new religion that was taking root in the deserts of Arabia, even by eliminating Muhammad and his followers.
and that is why they were fighting for, for existance, not for violance.

ISLAM is the arabic word derived from the arabic word "PEACE"
and it is the religion of peace just read about it , from muslim ppl ,or islamic books and sites.

prophet Mohammad peace be upon him,, didn't hate jews. his message was to worship one god ... he was the greatest man in the world, he was our teacher..he changed the world to the better,, he tought us how to respect the others and how to help them.he is the purest man the world. and you have to respect him,, he didn't hate the jews but they hated him peace be upon him,they tried to kill him many times as they do every thim when Allah sends a prophet,, try to read more ..every thing is recorded on the history.
