My wife and I met at a New Year's party. The party was states away from where we both lived. I lived in Portland, OR and she was living in Ohio. We met, fell in love, had a long distance relationship for over a year and then she moved here. It's been glorious ever since we met. Course the chances are slim to none that this ever happens and we could always split sometime down the line but good luck.

well I think that a crush is somewhat different from being in a relationship with a person. having a crush on someone is to like someone especially on the physical side while a relationship is much deeper than a crush. A relationship develops and matures when both partners experience and share same things together. I don't want to be negative but I would stay friends with this person and see how this relationship develops overtime. I would see other persons in the mean time and time will tell if this person is meant to be with you or not. good luck!!!!!!!!

There is always the attraction of something new, novel and different. But, for relationships, these may not last - and familiarity (meaning once you got to know each other better) breeds contempt.
Love (and relationships) works differently. Common culture, backgrounds, are invisible bonds that may strengthen your relationship with your spouse as time wears on.
But you can still remain as friends and see how the relationship develops.

You can correspond, but until you're actually face-to-face with someone over time you don't really know him/her. Long-distance romances rarely work out, once people to get together.
It's hard enough to get to know someone when you are together because of infatuation which can last up to two years. After that, people start getting real, and then often become disillusioned because of each other's faults.
Having a long-distance romance is largely a fantasy.

You should have just consumated your crush while on vacation and then walked away with a fun memory.
You have a chance at a short term frustrating relationship.

I don't believe it will work out coz you need to understand each other in order for the relationship to work.

It's possible.
I say it's worth a try.
Or else you'll look back and regret it.... and wonder if it really could've worked out.
