Okay, let me specify....no weight gain involved. Also want to add that it's faded. The tattoo itself hasn't stretched either.

the person that tattooed you might have used the wrong ink! My man has the same thing! It itches and burns and he has to keep putting lotion on it! He asked our tattoo artist the same question and he told him he might be allergic to the ink the other person used on him! SO if you can ask the person what type of ink did they use. Then go to another tattoo artist!

Have you recently switched body wash brands? Or switched from unscented body wash or lotion to scented? Tried a new brand of perfume? Sometimes things like this can irritate the skin, and if the tattoo is in a sensitive area it will heighten the irriation.

Might be an allergic reaction to the ink, even if it is very late in coming. Make an appointment with your doctor.

i get that sometimes. depending on where the tat is, it might just be getting dry. sunlight will also make it fade. if you can, put lotion on it at night. that way the lotion will have a chance to soak in. also, make sure you put sunscrean on it if it is going to be exposed to the sun for any period of time...even in the winter.

i would go see a doctor to have him check for other problems as I have had a tattoo for 18 years and it has never hurt except when i first got it- that first week.

Is it red? Red ink can have negative reactions with sunlight. Thats all I can think of.
