dear me
i think u need to relax for a moment. dont be so tense.
u need to sleep after a hard days work. its great that u want to get into dental school but dont let that make u a nervous wreck. and dont think of it as a waste of time. u r building up ur energy for the next day.
regarding ur studies, if u utilise the 18 hrs well (spposing u sleep for 6 hrs), u can get a lot done.

regards

Sleep replenishes your brain cells. If you fight it and try to stay awake, you will be defeating the purpose of studying because your grades will slip. Then if you should still find yourself able to get into dental school, you will find that you won't have a very successful dental practice. No one want to get a root canal from a sleepy dentist. I know I sure don't!

You can not, I repeat, can NOT stay awake for any period of time without the use of drugs. (don't do that though)
Your body must have sleep and if you won't do it the body will take over and you will be asleep somewhere you don't want to be, e.g. at school, behind the wheel of a car, at a restuarant.
We must sleep, that's just the way always has been and will always be.

You must make school you full time job and don't worry about this 4.0 stuff so much. Dental school isn't all cracked up to be. If you're smart enough to maintain a 4.0 you're smart enough to get it all done in a day.

I'm 35 and live on 4-5 hours a night. Here's my secret (and I'm only sharing it with you :) ). Avoid coffee and caffeine. You should eat lots of small meals throughout the day. Usually the meals I eat include a banana, yogurt, bread, fruit and a few light meats and nuts. These will give you carbs which will give you energy boosts. The mean and legumes are necessary to give you longer lasting energy. Good luck.........

No slow tunes, I listen to anything with a heavy bass in it. I am Black and I will listen to old Gun's N Roses ,Bon Jovi and Bone Crusher. They keep me wide awake, like right now I am taking a break from my Compostion 1 class. (3am)

Go to this website and do a bit of research, but you do need sleep; I like to sleep eight or nine hours every night. However, I can't outsleep my cat; she sleeps 16-18 hours every day. :-)
