What can he do knowing her Daddy is in the Mob?

My friend has been dating Mary since high school. Now he is in college and only sees Mary every other weekend on so. He has met a girl at school he likes much better but is affraid to breakup with Mary because her daddy is well known to be a leader of organized crime in his home town. At least 250 miles from the school. He says he thinks Mary is not so much in love with him as she used to be. He works for Mary's Daddy's construction company during the summer. He orders supplies and does other office work for $25 an hour and needs the money for his school. What can he do?

best thing would be to explain to mary how he feels...if her interest is on the decline then they could part ways mutually......i would doubt that her father would have any part in retribution over a high school romance...as for the job if things break off well he will probably keep it....most people would not involve personal situations in a professional environment

Never mix business and pleasure together. Your friend is stuck in his own decision to go out with such a girl in the first place. Crime is not glamorous nor something you want to indulge in. Take my advice and don't go around telling people (especially over the net) about your pal's, girl's father being connected with organized crime. Life is short and can be shorter for some others ... catch my drift ?? ? Your pal doesn't appear to be the brightest crayon in the box for choosing Mary, then.

He should talk to Mary and if she agrees to the seperation, she should speak to her Dad and tell him that they are still on good terms but she broke it off with him. She should make sure she lets her Dad know that he did nothing wrong.
If Mary doesn't want out or she refuses to help him out, he should grow a beard, move town and change his name.
