The original report on the benefit of resveratrol found that Merlot from Chile had the highest levels, but researchers at Cornell University in New York found that New York State wines also had high levels (see http://www.news.cornell.edu/chronicle/98/2.5.98/resveratrol.html ). Unfortunately New York wines are not readily available outside that state, but Chile wines should be in a shop near you.

It is an on going debate between the wine merchandisers and the health reserchers. While there probably is some benefits to taking a glass of wine with your meal, don't go stocking up on the stuff by the hype.

Bordeaux from France...the next one in USA I think is Cabernet Sauvignon...that's all I drink for wine

There are two that have been highly touted as healthy - Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. They are both quite dry.

Try consulting a liquor store or a winery. Mulled wines have the most, though.
