In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?

HMM. Maybe if you turn on switch A and leave it for about 2-3 minutes. Then turn it off.
Then turn on switch b and head upstairs.
The light controlled by switch b will still be on.
The light controlled by switch A will be off but still warm to the touch.
The light controlled by switch C will be cold.
Think that will do it?

well switch on a switch and let it be like that for five minutes.....now switch it off
switch on another one and go upstairs
now the bulb which is illuminated is the one which u switched on just now
and touch the remaining two balls....whichever is hot/warm is the one which u switched on for five minutes earlier
so the third switch belongs to the bulb which is off and cold!!
