Sitting on a ledge, overlooking the beauty of the Grand Canal in Venice, watching the Gondolas go by, while I sipped on a delicious cup of coffee, ate a luscious chocolate/apricot croissant and just blissed out by the magic that surrounded me.

My favorite memory of Italy was made when I was on a school trip with my Italian class. We were able to break away from the teachers and discover the city ourselves. That night, my friends and I wondered around the city...taking in the lights reflecting off the Arno and the musicians in the Piazzas. It was amazing!

I was invited to a birthday party for the son of some famous politican (who I had never heard of; I think he might have been the former President). The party was held in a CASTLE, there was a dinner buffet and open bar, and then I borrowed a red thong bikini to swim in the outdoor pool! Lucky for me the PAPARAZZI didn't get any shots of my butt! I still can't believe they even let my friends and I into that party; I'm sure I'll never experience "lifestyles of the rich and famous" again! :(
At least I got a souvenir t-shirt! Who gives out t-shirts to two hundred people at their birthday party?

We visited a small town on lake garda for a long weekend. I forget the name at the moment but it was beautiful, located on the south west shore of the lake. There was a little town square with plenty of small stores that were not too expensive. And a beautiful harbor right infront of our hotel with beautiful blue water and many small fishing boats anchored. It was wonderful. And so relaxing.

my favorite memory was when 4 of us were in venice and were walking out late at night among the canals and streets and got totally lost because venice is impossibly. after about 4 hours of laughing and and walking dark ally ways and beautiful scenery, we met a man from rome who was also lost but knew the way to our hotel so he walked us all back that night. it was something ill never forget. ciao
