great college town. i got family near there in clinton. ypsilanti is very close to ann arbor, so there is some great clubs, lots of bars, and crazy stuff to do at night. people are like all midwestern folks, huge sports fans and blue collar, a fun bunch. Eastern is a good college, you will have an awesome time. If you are not from the midwest though, make sure you prepare for some cold winters. have fun

Ypsi...A nice college town. Ann Arbor just down the road a great town. Detroit...40 mins east of Ypsi great town, but don't forget your bullet proof vest.
No Seriously, Ypsilanti has what's called Depot Town. Nice district with sit down drinking places. There are a few clubs to enjoy the dancing environment. EMU has about 20,000 students. All good people. EMU has a great IM facilities for working out.
Ann Arbor about 10 mins away has a lot more to offer. A little pretentious for me, but still has some of the best restaurants in the State, such as the Real Seafood Company and the Gandy Dancer.
Detroit Rocks! A whole new adventure, but be careful things can turn ugly if you're in the wrong part of town at the wrong time. Go with people who their way around.
No Matter what...Dress Warm in the Winter and you'll love the spring. You'll have a great time and make some great memories.
