I talk to him in my mind. I tell him thank you for the life I have when things are hard and ask for guidance when I'm not sure of something.
I feel I'm very smart because of this and I'm a very easy going person also, people that know me call me a Saint.

The near death experiences are fascinating, I've never experienced it myself though.

An aunt of mine was dying when I was young and for a few minutes before she died she was asking about the man dressed in white at the foot of her bed, no one else could see him.

She died in peace because of it.

I do not believe anyone has seen God, "a spirit", literally or metaphorically . We have seen His works.
I do believe there are people in all religions that have talked with God through prayer, meditation, and deeds. I also believe God has literally "talked", communicated with them in many ways. The problem is knowing when the communication is from God and when it is not.

Literally it is very easy to talk to God. Those that come to God must first believe that He is, and that He is the Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. So if you come to Him for a conversation, He will talk back to you as well. I know from experience. But now the Word of God says that no man has seen God and lived.

Very very few people have actually seen or talked to God the way we see or talk to other people. (The only ones who come to mind are Biblical figures, as far as I know.) However, we talk to God through prayer. He talks to us and shows us His presence by helping to shape our lives, by letting us realize that He is the source of the beauty and goodness in the world around us and by His Word (the Bible). At least, that's how I hear/see Him.

It's like when you're a kid, and they have those letters to God, but anything can be interpreted as the will of God so it's not hard. God speaks through imagination. I wouldn't call it creepy for a full-grown adult to be doing this, but you know, people gotta be happy somehow.

I've never heard anyone say they've seen God. I believe the reference to talking to God is through prayer. Those who say God gave them an "answer" usually feel that after praying and pondering the situation, a decision comes to them and they attribute it to God answering their prayer. (God "spoke" to them and gave them the answer.)
