This was asked, by someone, before. You can go to the county court house, or online to Legal Zoom. Not only could you change yours at Legal Zoom, but you could for a different cost, change a your child's name, too.

To change your name you must see a lawyer and have him change all your ID documents. You must have a Judge declare your name legal. We changed our last name many years ago and it requires sined and notarized legal documents prepared by a lawyer.

if you are a girl then you can consider marrying since it will change your last name.. or you can go to a court to file a request provided that you have a very good reason on why you want to change your surname.. goodluck..

i think that you need to go to the county clerk for the county you were born in. in michigan it costs $300. if you have been married and are now divorced, that needs to be written into your dissolusionment, if you are getting married, you need to go to the courthouse of the county you are getting married in to have it changed to future last name.
