it's very normal but did you use A&D ointment. the reason the suggest that type of ointment is because it is infused with Vitamin A and Vitamin D. Those are the Vitamins you need for your skin to help repair itself! so if anything try to change lotions now and body washes! try Lubriderm products! They seem very good!

It's normal. Try using different kinds of body wash and lotion is a must everyday weather you have a tattoo or not. Weather always dries you out. If your tattoo itches all day then use lotion all day. I have to lotion my self a couple of times a day since I live in such a dry climate so it can't hurt. Good Luck

If you've had the tattoo for a year or more, then it's likely one of two causes: a) your artist went too deep, or b) your skin scars easily. Sometimes a normal, smooth tattoo will become raised when exposed to sunshine or certain chemicals (like those sometimes found in brand new, unwashed clothing) and may even itch, then return to normal when the exposure ends. It's hard to say what causes this, but it is a somewhat common experience among the tattooed, even with tattoos that are very old.

Mine do that when the weather changes. I've just made it a point to rub lotion (Lubriderm Unscented) all over my legs & lower back every morning which keeps it under control. That's basically where my ink is. Then I don't have to worry about the elements of the weather. Plus if your skin is sensitive then use Dove soap (bar or liquid) & this will help also. I don't have sensitive skin but my son does so the soap residue in the tub reacts on his skin & this is the only soap that I've been able to use since he's been born (14 years now) but I've come to love it.

I don't know, you might find some answers if you go on the TLC website and find Miami Ink. Kat Von D has a little tattoo care thing on it and it might have some info. Your lotion or body wash could be reacting with the tattoo, making you itchy.

Could be the change in weather. Try Lubriderm lotion. Tats need care even after the healing process. The extra lotion keeps them looking brighter.
