No. God will not punish you because He loves you.
However, when you don't adhere to the absolute, unchanging and eternal spiritual and physical laws and principles that He had setup before and for the creation of this cosmos, there will be predictable consequences that follows.
Ok, you can still consider that God 'punishes' you since He is the one who setup those laws and principles. However, these were not setup for punishing disobedient people, but for the establishment of a good world for His children.
By the way, evolution is ok, it is science and God is a scientific God. However, the idea of using evolution to deny the idea of creation is not ok. We don't know for sure, but God could have His creation developed in a evolution manner, as we have observed. I conject that He should have interfered at times for the begining of a new species.
Does the computer you are using has similar designs to a computer manufactured 5 years ago, and those that were manufactured 10, 15, 20, and 30 years ago? So, do we say the computer 'species' evolved? Yes, we could. However, did this evolution take place in a totally random manner, with sudden lightnings or whatever that caused the 'jump' from a earlier type to a later type, e.g. from 286s to 386s? It also could have, to some aliens, if any, who might arrive on earth after we were gone, if it can happen, and dig out the closely related computer species.

Karma means not only action, but also the result of an action. There is a hidden power in Karma or action termed 'Adrishta' which brings in fruits of Karmas for the individual. The consequence of an action is really not a separate thing. It is a part of the action and cannot be divided from it.
Every work is a mixture of good and evil. There can be neither absolute good work nor absolute bad work in this world. This physical universe is a relative plane. If you do some action, it will do some good in one corner, and some evil in another corner. You must try to do such actions that can bring the maximum of good and the minimum of evil.
As a man sows, so he shall reap. This is the Law of Karma. It expounds the riddle of life and the riddle of the universe. It brings solace, satisfaction and comfort to one and all. It is a self-evident truth. So it all about Karma not God please!.

If you believe in God then you should have no worry about being punished for believing evolution. Creation and evolution are two totally different ideas that have no common ground.

God would punish someone who believe in evolution because evolution is against with the contents of holy book given by God such as in Zabur,Taurat,Injil/Bibel and Al qur'an.By believing in evolution means that we humans are emerging from the origin of apes or monkeys. In the holy book God spoke clearly that God created the first human that was Adam from earth or soil and then in human development from sperm as an essence of cement from the soil too because we ate foods and drink which come out from the soil.
Someone who believe in evolution will have great sin because he/she does not believe in God's creation.He/she will be included into the unbeliever and he/she will go to hell in the eternal life after death and he/she will be punished by hot boiling water and other hottest material in the hell.

I don't believe God would punish anyone simply for believing in evolution. However, belief in evolution is, in a way, calling God a liar to His face since He has been very clear in His explanation of how the Earth came about. If their is any punishment given, I personally believe it would be for one's disbelief in God. Not one's belief in evolution.
Blessed Be

It's not that God would punish you....but God has said of His word (in the Book of Joshua), "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. "
When we believe and follow the word of God, we are blessed and prosperous. When we believe in lies and falsehood, we still have the grace of God to save us, but we miss out on the blessings God has for us.

ok, say you build a huge building, and a million years down the line, people start believing that it "evolved" on it's own!!! I gues u'd be indignant too!
But God rewards us for our faith in Him for obeying His Word and following His teaching.
Vice versa, He punishes us for neglecting His teaching and not accepting Him personally in our lives...
