hi, im kinda pathetic and havnt had a girlfriend my whole life. and i really want someone to care for me the way i care for others. so please. i know there is no simple answer but any tips would be great.

Girls are very sensitive
and they can tell when men are fake.
I know you think they choose the 'players'
but in the end, all girls want a caring, giving,
GENUINE partner (which arrogant guys aren't!!!)
so I reckon you got a good thing going!

First, you can't make someone like you. You can only encourage it. You should be kind but not obsessive or overly so. Be a gentleman, smile, take care of yourself, show confidence but don't have a big ego....Start with friendships and try to be patient. I know that it is hard and everyone feels lonely sometimes but you can't force relationships.
