Jeremy Camp sings a great song about that. And honestly, i dont know if i would. I dont think i have enough faith yet. Ive never been tortured and i dont know what it would be like or how i would handle it. would i buckle under the pressure or would i stand firm and rely on God? iono its a hard question. Jesus was and is the only person thats fit to die for our sins.

No one could do it like Jesus did.The reason Jesus could die for our sins is because He had no sin in Him.We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,so it would be impossible even if we wanted to.But we can give our life's to Him in return.God Bless.

Thanks for asking this question. It is very thought provoking.
I agree with some of the kind, humble answers written here. We aren't God's son so we aren't capable of this kind of sacrifice for the love and good of so many. I am so thankful and so in awe of what Jesus did for us on that cruel cross. Take up your cross daily, and have a heart full of gratitude that we are loved and forgiven.
The responses from non-believers to your question are scary and shows no humility.

Only if I were the only begotten daughter of God and He sent me here to do that. Then I definitely would. But I am not divine so He probably won't ask me.
Jesus died for your sins means that He will forgive all your sins if you believe in Him and follow His teachings. And you repent for all your sins. His death isn't a 'get out of hell free' card.

As a Christian, I can say no.
It would serve no purpose, for God's only Son was Jesus and He was the only One that could die for our sins.
Now to save a life, yes, I would give myself.

I wouldn't even make the sign of the cross for someone's sins...

Yup.
Humans give their lives for strangers on this planet all the time. Remember the firefighters and cops on 9/11? Just last week in my city a man died trying to save to people in a car.
But then, we're not god. We're "sinful" humans. And we're not dying to save "the whole world from everlasting torment" - just dying to save a few lives.
Tell me, who makes the bigger sacrifice?

What would be the point only Jesus's sinless blood could cover our sins. My blood alone would never do the job.
