The U.S. will allow people to enter the country legally, so why is every one pressing it as a human rights issue ?

Sophist - Mexican are not coming up here because they are starving to death. I looked online for a post that said other wise, and could not find one, show me your proof.

I never said anything about killing or tourturing, I was refering to them coming here illegally, being a human rights issue. Explain your stance, and don't be putting words in my mouth.

Most of the pro-illegal crowd apparently have this idea that it is a human right for people to enter another country and stay there for a "better life" regardless of whatever violations they may commit along the way.
These people think that the United States has an obligation to help the poor of other countries, i wouldnt be surprised if these people are also advocates for USA intervention in foreign lands.

Because some people don't see the difference. The US can only do so much. So to say the US has an "obligation" to help is a load. the hell we do. We can only do so much look at ALL the americans here that need help. Why should foreign countries and illegal aliens be our first priority? We have homeless people. Poor people some of the schools are terrible. we have projects and ghettos that we need to get rid of. We need to fix our justice system. bring down the debt the list goes on and on perhaps these illegals need to work hard at making their own country better so they won't have to come here. When the US has to many people and more poor people than rich and middle class and we have social unrest and all that crap well lets check back and see how the proillegal people feel then.

Because the process of legal immigration is so long and expensive that most cannot afford the time or money to go through legal means. They are starving in poverty in their own countries--which is why they come to the USA. To turn them away is to send them home to a certain death. This makes it a human rights issue.

I'm not familiar with that being the case, they are separate issues
and not dependent on the other. If someone is here illegally that
should be dealt with strongly according to our Laws. How we as
a people treat that alien while here must be humane or we will
become tyrants in a heartless society that we must also live in.

Because killing an illegal, is a violation of their human rights....
"Human rights refers to the concept of human beings as having universal rights, or status, regardless of legal jurisdiction or other localizing factors, such as ethnicity, nationality, and sex."
"these rights protect people against crimes such as murder, massacre, torture and rape"
From Wikipedia
ALL human beings are entitled to human rights....

Because human rights shouldn't be just a national issue it shold be global. so if we treat illegals less than human what is that saying about us.

Because the "illegals" everyone is screaming about are HUMANS first above whatever "status" we choose to place on them. They have God-given rights above and beyond our "laws."

Because it's the only stance that they can take.......illegals can not dispute that they are not illegal, but if they say it's violating their rights we have to take a look at their cause.....punks....fill out the forms, then get over here and put shingles on my roof.
