This is an impossible question to answer. We are a real melting pot of ethnicity here and everyone has different tastes and preferences.

Everybody seems to like blondes more but not me. I have black hair and I love it. I guess it really depends on the individual.
It's hard to speak for every American.

I would say it depends on what it looks like on the person. Personally, I like dark hair, but not black. I have blonde hair, but not real blonde.

there is the American ideal of blonde hair, blue eyes but then again we talk about the tall, dark and handsome type too. my preference is actually redheads. go figure....
