Doesn't it sound ironical when the churces are all divided into different denominations with own set of doctrine.

Doesn't common sense tells u that Catholic Church which has been in existence for past 2000 yrs has never broke in succession from one pope to the other, starting from Apostle Peter?

Hasn't Christ said that he will be with the Church till the end of time? Pls don't tell me that Church He referred to is just about His follower, it has a deeper meaning than this, i,e he is upholding his Catholic Church. Mary His mother, while he was sent to earth, as a human, is well loved by Him, if Christian churches ignore her importance, do u think Christ will like it?

Ponder and reflect.

Tony Viz, i appreciate ur open minded towards Catholic Church, if God has not hold it together, it won't last so long isn't it.

As for others, let Christ himself tell u the truth while u see him face to face. it's amazing how stubborn u can be and keep mentioning about the bible. that is why u need the Mother church which holds the long traditions to explain things u do not agree. read about church doctors works, to know more.

don't interpret the bible according to ur how know-how of pick and choose. this is where the problems lie, one said it is ok to divorce, the other said it is humanity for abortion.

Christ has warned beforehand his disciples to watch out that MANY will come in his Name and he will be called Christ. And for him these are the deceivers.
Why are you asking now about the split in Christ's churches. don't you see how Jesus saw that two thousand plus years ago?
For your information too, Catholics was the first one to be divided from Jewish-Christian Orthodox, to Roman Catholic to Greek Catholic Orthodox and to Coptic to The Fundamentalist Catholics of Mel Gibson's Father. The Catholic itself is divided inside between Italian groups and other nationalities from the Fundamentalists, to Traditionalists, to Liberals. You have to wake up. The only thing they are not giving up is the election of Pope but its teaching is breaking up from the Old Testament little by little until the time will come that ultimately their only God will be Jesus or worse back to the Old Roman myth of having a the Queen Mother as God. Christ did not tell them to put up a church in his name because he knew about the divisions that will happen. Notice in your parish that whenever there is a new organization or movement within the church, it always end up to qualms among its members and be split into groups until it totally disappears and till another group emerges again. That is not a common human frailties, that is the curse Jesus has warned his followers long time ago. You are the one who needs to ponder and reflect.

Catholic church was an imposed belief by the roman government. It contained the doctrines of pagan religions and became full of them and held the Name of Jesus.

Since Martin Luther, people got the permission to read the Bible (Word of God) hence they started to understand the true meaning of the written Scriptures.

Christ's Church got split not with different set of doctrines but some believers give importance to some doctrines which others don't give that much importance.
Basically all doctrines are same but a little difference.

Apostle Peter never started the Catholic Church and never been the First Pope of the Catholic church as they claim.

Being the leader of the 11+ 1 apostles, there had never been a little chance for Peter to start a Pagan Church.
But the Roman Government started this pagan church when Constantine emperor declared Christianity as the royal religion.

Mary was the earthly mother of the FLESH which the WORD of God took.
She never holds the mother-hood of the eternal God. May be God see Her and Abraham of equal equal faith but give no respect saying she was the mother of the flesh of Jesus.

On Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the MORTAL BODY (flesh) brought forth through Mary was transformed to IM-MORTAL. BODY.

My Catholic Friend,
Please do under stand the WORD of God and live as God wish.

This is the Catholic argument you are giving, but it wont get across to anyone. I agree with you.
The problem is the historical-critical method, the attack on paul, and/or people just dont know history and where the bible comes from. The attack, at least form the intellectual side, is that Jesus did not intend a new religion, esp not one with any heirarchial institution. The claim can be made for this insofar as one argues that he was and remained always a JEW. Fine.
The attack then goes to Paul, who is credited with the really "Christianization" of the jewish religion of Jesus.

Also, the problem since luther has been the printing press..People started reading the stories for themselves and coming up with their own ideas in rebellion to the Patriarchal church..

Another reason perhaps is a lot of the wars caused in the last 2000 years were religious oriented, so people shy away from "organized religion." but what is the alternative.. "Disorganized religion?"....????

The church split long before Luther. Around a thousand AD the church split into two factions, the RC in the west and the GO in the east. There are one or two other churches from early times that do not submit to authorities in either church but maintain "Christian ties" to both.

But way back in the 3rd century some of the early church fathers exhibited antisemitism. And no doubt certain schisms began to arise even then. I do not have a degree in divinity or church history.
So this is the best I can do.

I Cr 13;8a,

There is so much liberty in the Gospel of Jesus that in an imperfect world, certain divisions were bound to creep in. Satan has been at work in the church for a long time. But take heart, we have the victory in Jesus.

hmmmm
well i think what is even more important is preaching to persons as the apostle Paul said in acts 10:42 making a thorough witness. Christians are known by their love of one-another. They are no part of the world. I don't put down any demonation but does like any other, the Catholic church show love? does it stay away from being no part of the world?

I would imagine there are sincere members that are obedient to such things. As a church, well no. Unfortunately it has chosen to accept Pagan and Wiccan holidays, it has become part of the world in celebrating national holidays and its very deep into political governments and the affairs of governments. As far as Mary the mother of Jesus. Any rebuking I'm sure would be upsetting to Jesus. I find it more beneficial to weigh what presented to the bible, which is inspired of Gods word, as the bible states it is beneficial for teaching and reproving and setting things straight.

Catholic Church has broken in succession during the time of the Great Schism with the Orthodox churches, during the anti-pope and the third pope. There are also the Independent Catholic Churches which do follow the pope but do not believe he is the spiritual descendant of St. Peter. Every religious institution has its black marks. Hiding it or loudly proclaiming it doesn't exist doesn't make it go away.

There is a song I sing a Christmas, maybe you've heard it...

"Mary Did You Know?" it is a beautifully touching song written by Mark Lawry.

One of the lines says, "Mary did you know this child that you delivered will soon deliver you?"

Mary was a human being, therefore a sinner just like anyone else.
She would have been just as grateful to God for providing a sacrifice for her sins as any of us would have.

I believe God gave her the grace and wisdom to endure what she saw happen to her son. I think there was no greater joy in Jerusalem on the morning she knew her son was no longer dead and she finally understood along with the disciples what He had been talking about all along.

I can't wait to meet her. And Esther, and Abigail, and Ruth, and many others.

But she is not divine, nor did she ever claim to be.

There is only One True Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... Christ is not concered about all the man made "denominations""sects" "doctrins" "dogmas""traditions" of mankinds invention.... for all who are not of The Church there will be no place in heaven. the will suffer the same fate as all who reject God.

Peter was not the first pope... Peter died long befor the RC cult got started... The RCs are not The Church and are not the first church nor have they ever been the only church... RCs are not of The True Christian Faith as they do not follow the very basics of the teachings of Jesus The Christ...

Those of The True Christian Faith have the absolute assurance of Their Salvation... RCs do not... not even the pope can say he knows he will go to heaven.... it is against RC law to teach that Salvation can be assured. that is directly against the teaching of Christ.

The church , which is made up of the body of Christ , has many members. Think of our bodies. It has many different functions. Our hand does not have the same function as our foot . So is it with different denominations. We are the body of Christ and He is the head. What knits us all together is the belief in our Lord Jesus. Mary was a chosen and blessed women to bring forth our savior. I think if she was here and we went to her she would point to her Son and say He is the one who died for your sins not me. I am even in need for our savior. We all have sin. Mary gave us Jesus to become human like us. It is Jesus that is sinless. No other person has ever been born with such a unique quality. Jesus says I am the Way the Truth and the Life no man goes to the Father except through me.

Have you not heard of the Catholic Jesuits own admissions that a Satanic ritual/ceremony conducted in the Vatican actually evoked and conjured up Satan's Black Pillar of Smoke, and was documented by Father Malachi Martin, co-author with Pope John Paul II on the book, "Keys of The Blood"? Father Martin, himself, claimed, "Satan occupies the Vatican".

The schisms and denominations in Christianity are due to only one hand, that being the hand of Satan. In fact, as hard as this is to believe, God and Christ have utterly nothing to do with religion; they are not the author of religion, Satan is. Revelations in the Holy Scriptures refers to the religions of the world as the "Harlot of Fornications". This includes the Catholic Church. We are instructed not to defile ourselves with her.

Christ Jesus did not come to establish religion; He came to set the captives free FROM religion, and to establish His True Church. The word "church" in its truest etymological meaning is NOT a building, or institute, or gargantuan infrastructural hierarchical organization. The True Church is a "people". It is a "wall-less" body of people. Look around, and you will note that the True Church has not yet been established, for it is yet a FUTURE EVENT at the end of this Earth Age. This True Church will be the remnant "Bride of Christ", composed of a very small group, for not all will be worthy. Many are called, but few are chosen. She will be of unsoiled Purity, and undefiled by the Harlot of Fornications, e.g. "religion".
