Before I started doing hair, I worked at Sally Beauty Supply and we would sell alot of the Dark And Lovely hair color. It is made for African American hair so it would be perfect for you! It has everything you need in the box. Just remember, whatever color you want, go 1 or 2 shades lighter to get a more perfect hair color. Example: If you see a box of color that has the shade you want on the front, look at the numbers on the box also. It should be something like this: 5R. This means that the color is a level 5 (1 being the darkest and 10 being the lightest) and has a red base tone. So you would need a 6R or 7R to get your hair as close to the picture on the box of the 5R. I know it's a little complicated but if you get confused just ask someone for help.

I wouldn't try anything over the counter, cause it never turns out the color on the box. Go to a professional and have them do it. Much safer and you might fine you enjoy the pampering too. Look online for salons that carry top of the line products, such as Matrix, Redken, Paul Mitchell, Bed Head, etc. Then you will know that they know their products and are using quality products.
