Our bodies produce mucous as a protection from things such as viruses, dust, etc., to keep them from getting past our nasal and mouths cavities and into our lungs or blood stream and other places they do not belong.

When something considered even more of a threat appears, the body goes into overdrive trying to protect itself from the foreign invader. Phlegm is usually mucous accompanied by infection. For it to appear so suddenly after eating or drinking dairy products suggests you have a sinus infection that is exacerbated by a food sensitivity to milk products.

A sinus infection is an insidious thing that can take 6 months to a year of natural treatment to get rid of. Desisting from eating things you are sensitive to while clearning the infection is crucial.

I'd highly recommend going to a Naturopathic doctor to get checked out for food sensitivities and sinus infection and ask them their opinion of nasal lavage. Continuing with a sinus infection for a long time can cause your body's immune system to become further compromised and, if you don't already suffer from allergies or asthma, you can develop these conditions later in life if you don't take care of the problem now.

I wish you well!

Yes, it does happen. Milk products are known for this, mainly by people who have respiratiory problems. A lot of people with asthma steer away from milk and some other milk products because of the phlegm that it causes. It would be good to consult with your doctor and see if you have asthma. Some medications help curb the phlegm build up.

that's because phlegm is just another word for moon, and the moon is made out of a cheese coating, ice cream depth, and a milky center. It's a scientific fact.
