'Promoting' witchcraft and wizardry?

No, they were promoting their advertisers products by airing cartoons that were entertaining to children. It's called 'fantasy'. One of the REASONS it's called 'fantasy' is because the creators don't BELIEVE in witchcraft and wizardry. Yikes, do you get out much?
