I have gone 4 times in the past month preparing for braces. Before i went every 6 months. But now i have to go every 6 weeks or so per what i was told anyway. Oh well. You should go to the dentist, you could have gum disease, cavities etc. Your dental health is very important.

Yes, time to go.
I now go every 3 months and use a good electric tooth brush.
I didn't go when I was younger because a dentist led me to believe I have major problems and I didn't have money. I didn't, but by the time I started going, I had gum problems and again I wasn't about to spend tons of money. So I slacked off as I couldn't take the lectures.
When I finally did and decided to spend the money, I am sooo glad I did. Turns out that my gum problem was fixable and I still have, and should always have, my own teeth.
SO GO ALREADY!!

It just might be time you went.

I went to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth x-rayed (I thought they might be the cause for my teeth getting crooked despite the fact that I had braces in my teens) a week or so ago and last Friday I got 2 removed. The last time I'd gone was when I went in to get my braces removed (6 years ago).

ABSOLUTELY! You need to get there b4 u don't have a choice. People who don't go for their 6 month cleanings are at a much higher risk for bone loss which means you could lose your teeth. They'll get looser and looser as your gums recede. It's not a good thing!

Yes, it won't be as bad as you remember...Dentistry has come a long way. I go every six months because my dental insurance covers the exam and xrays. Once you get into the habit, it will go much smoother.
