Walker by split decision. Only after going 15 bruising rounds with a man that doesn't know the word quit, Carmen Basilio. This match up would be a Ring Magazine Fight of The Year type bout.Interesting having them fight at middleweight. Two natural welters. Good match up partner!

Because Mickey is a natural Jr welter weight, I have to go with Carmen with a 15 round split decision, with Mickey getting off the canvas twice in 11th and a near stoppage in the 12th. Of course he would rally to score a staggering left hook to the body late in the 13th, and wobble Carmen in the 15th. However Carmen was nothing nice, and again he would win by split decision.
