Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Because you're in a central location to go anywhere in Europe.

2nd Buckley Air Force Base, CO. Because it's in a big city and there's lots of things to do (except going to the ocean)

As an Army wife, I love Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. It was beautiful up there. My husband was in an awesome unit. They had family days and activities all the time. Everytime they got a new 1st Sgt., I got a call from his wife. Being that it was a very small unit, all of us knew each other. The housing was nice, I liked the school system, and there is the University of Alaska right there in town. The only bad thing about it was that it was small enough that it didn't really have too many department stores or grocery stores. They had one store kinda like a Super Walmart call Fred Meyer. The cost of living is pretty high, but COLA was pretty good up there. It was our first duty station and if we could go back, I would be there in a heartbeat.

We've been at 2 duty stations in 10 yrs of my husband serving.

I like them both - but for different reasons. Fort Bragg - you could get everything you need on post. It was conveinent. Lots of stuff to do,

Now we're at Yuma Proving Ground - middle of nowhere. The commissary and px close at 6, they aren't open everyday, the bowling alley is closed 2 days a week. But I like it cause it is so small that you know everyone.

I dont know what branch you are refering to but mine was Kunsan AB. Korea. I met a bunch of good guys over there and means we were over there for a year without our families be basically became our own family.

My 2nd would have to be Minot AFB, ND. Everyone else hates it but crime was low. It was a good city plus I grew up in FL and this was the first time I had seen snow. Now I love the snow and am trying to get back up north.

Eglin AFB, Ft. Walton Beach Florida. It was just beautiful and the people there acted like they actually liked military folk. They had a great hospital.
