i am in comm20 (public speaking) i am supposed to do a tribute speech tomorrow. What exactly am i supposed to talk about?

It is to honor, celebrate and praise an individual. Tribute speeches are often given on the occasion of the success.
Inspire your audience and generate respect for the person or object being honored.
Pick a person like a President, someone who has done great in a sport, a teacher etc. Think of something that interests you.
I have already graduated so I have no idea what topic your teacher may have suggested.

A tribute speech is a complimentary speech, usually about a person. Unlike a Eulogy, which is a tribute speech about a dead person, a tribute speech is normally about the guest of honor, someone who has done something good.

a tribute speech is a speech that is dedicated to a particular person for his spectacular accolades or the wonderful work/ finding that person has done- this could also be a dedication to a team.
