Anything you can purchase at walmart a drug store etc...in regards to hair color will eventually fade. Since you already had red hair I wouldn't worry.
red stays in your hair the least amount of time. It for whatever reason is a hard color to keep. (dyed)
You will have your beautiful/natural hair sooner than you think. Just take good care of it. Keep it conditioned and try to stay away from blow-dryers and irons.
Best of luck,

Why did you dye it in the first place? I'd love to have natural red hair!! Hair dyeing is such a complaicated process, believe me I know. Pretty much with permanant hair dyes you are just going to have to let it grow out, the color might fade a little depending on the quality of the brand you used. I am currently trying to growm mine out after years of dyeing, and I just pull the front back in a pretty barette or pony tail to hide the roots. Hope I was some help.

Ok...If it was a permanent dye..it will fade...but not much. Your options for growing it out "gracefully" are many. Depending on the difference between the dyed hair and your natural color...you may be able to do a bleach wash...bleach and shampoo to lighten it up a lil...or maybe do some hilites to help it blend...lots of options here. Best to cosult with a hairdresser on whats best for your hair! Good luck!

I have been told there is a rinse that you can use to lighten a color due to being to dark.

The permanent dies do fade. You could try getting a color that is a shade lighter than what you wish for if you wanting it to change quicker.

But, all said, to get completely back to the natural shade, it will have to grow out.

See a good stylist and get her/him to remove the color. It will fade back, but it takes awhile. You could try a beauty supply store for some tips. There's a product called "Colorfix" that might help.

Red hair fades the fastest, go to a salon and get it stripped.

if you want to have it fade faster wash it with baby shampoo. But everytime I have had a dark red hair color it always faded to a brown, so more than likely it will not fade to its original color.
