I mean, you're dead, so yeah...

Let me be more clear since some people are confused...

If all sins are pardonable (except blashemy to the holy ghost), that implies that suicide should be too, but since you're already dead, you can't be forgiven. Contradiction? What? Explain it.

Only God can make the final judgement about all of our sins, suicide included. Perhaps the person about to commit suicide is crying out to God asking forgiveness for what he's about to do. People who are suicidal aren't thinking clearly. I don't believe that God would judge someone harshly who's mind is in such despair.

You can take Slow Poison.
If you are Saved (Born-Again) and whack yourself, you Still go to Heaven.

If you Blashpeme against the Holy Spirit in Word (talking against HIM), you won't be Forgiven in this World or the World to Come-----but in the NEXT WORLD you will---IF YOU HAVE BEEN Born-Again.
If not, you have Blasphemed the Holy Spirit by NOT following HIM and getting Born-Again, in which case, GOD cannot let you Stay in Heaven for very long.

all sins are forgivable. its says that like, a hundred times. the second you give your life to God, your automatically forgiven forever. The slate is eternally clean no matter what you do. Now, if you mentality is "im forgiven, now i can do whatever i want", you obviously arent really a christian. God gave forgiveness once and for all. wanting to repent is natural and respectable, but not nessesary to receive grace.

Because with the exceptions of those who committed suicide as a result of mental illness, suicide is one of the ways inwhich a person will Blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.

Example: Judas Iscariot committed suicide after he felt ashamed of himself for betraying Jesus. Rather than try to atone for his Great Sin, he chose to die with it.

One thing many people do not realize is that in commiting suicide, you offend God very deeply. A common misconception is the idea that "it's my life, I can take it." No, actually, it is the life God gave you to use, and you can choose to go to hell.
Even so, perhaps there are rare instances where God forgives, but I don't think so. However, that's not for me to judge, so I won't go any further in that direction.

If you know Christ as savior even suicide is covered with the blood of Christ! God sees you as if you never sinned because Christ paid for your sin on the cross. While alive on earth we need to confess sin and ask for forgiveness to be right with God and continue our relationship, but our salvation was paid for by Jesus!

I love DiscipleD's answer. The best so far I've read about suicide and Christianity. I dwelled on that question, too, before, although I know that God gave us life and He is the only one who can take it away from us.

Since a person decides to kill himself, he made a choice of his afterlife.

If you are a Christian every sin you are going to commit or have commited is forgiven...if you die without confessing something to God you still go to heaven Jesus died one and for all for all past, present, and future sins you have commited, are commiting, or are going to commit

BUt..whos to say that at the instant before the bullet hit your head, or an instant before you hit the ground, you did not repent. Only God can judge that.

I think...it really depends on the sect youre in.

Some Christians I know say that its forgivable. Some say its not.

:/

Its harder to understand than we'd like.
