How do you really feel about this person? If you still truly love him then what have you got to lose by asking him? It all depends on how you feel, cos if your heart is not really for that person anymore then whether he loves you or not - it doesnt matter. Speaking from personal experience, memories are great but they are just that, everything changes- esp. people -dont hold on to the past.

I think the best way to know is to ask him. However since you already said that it is in the past, I believe that the feeling will never be the same even if both of you are together. So you must learn to let go of something at certain times and not grab to it.

The person will stand by you no matter what, always be there for you if and when you need them. They will listen to what you have to say and be excited to hear from you or see you if it has been awhile. It will show when you look into their eyes you can just tell if its still there once face to face with them.

Depends how long ago this past was.. just leave the past alone and move on. I'm sure if it was spacial that person hasn't forgotten you, just get it together!
