I think it changes depending on the country..
In Mexico people use "la pijama" (singular, female)
pee - ja (as in jam) - ah

i'm not sure, but i think in Spain they say
"el pijama" ( singular, masculine)

pee - ha - ma (as in mark)

but if you use any of those people will understand.

the correct definition would be ;ropa de dormir,Now in general terms its depends in what Spanish speaking country you reside so this is a more ,'regional mass way of say it: pijamas or payamas
