I would like to leave from Gufport AL., cruise to Mexico, say Cancun or Cozymel, return to GP by way of Florida West Coast or the Keys? Can that be done?

Actually, I think they leave out of Mobile.

Short cruises of the type you're describing are offered by Carnival Cruise Line - a great line for the 25 - 45 year old age group. Lots to do, good food, and great entertainment, plus Carnival has the largest standard cabins at sea - 185 sq. ft., compared to the average of 155 - 165 sq. ft.

Unfortunately, none of them leave from Gulfport, AL - the only AL port used is Mobile. From there the "Carnival Holiday" offers 4 and 5 night "Western Caribbean" cruises that go to Cozumel on the 4-nighters and Cozumel and Calica or Cozumel and Costa Maya on the 5-nighter. The Holiday is one of their older ships and at 46,000 tons a little on the small side (733 ft. long, 1500 passengers) compared to today's 130,000 - 160,000 ton mega ships. Although she doesn't have all the bells and whistles you'll still have a wonderful vacation.

I love cruising - it is my favorite vacation. I hope this information was helpful.

I went on a 4 day cruise to Cozumel from Galveston, TX. I'm not sure if they leave from Gulfport...check the cruise line's websites or even a travel website, like travelocity. I am sure you could find some leaving from your area. But if you have to travel a bit to get on a cruise...do it! Going on a cruise was one of the best vacations I've ever been on! Hope you find something!!
