Not a chance. You're just beginning to ripen. Remember this in 15 years & you'll laugh you're butt off.

I hope you're not! I am 31, with a 7 year old and 2 year old... had my oldest at 23 also. I have seen some pretty young parents out there (I work in preschool education)- but I think that waiting to be a little more experienced in the world in general gives you a completely different perspective on everything. I have a sister-in-law who is 25, and has just flipped out doing everything she thinks she missed because she became a mom too young (she was 19). I have to say that a little wisdom from time spent in the "real world" may have done some good for us "old moms"!

Nope you're not old. If anything, the other woman is too young to have a 5 year old child. Think about it! She was 15 when she delivered her baby!! What were you doing at 15? Certainly not changing baby diapers and trying to get your homework done at the same time. At 28 years old, I had a 6 year old, a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Now I'm closer to 40 than 28 and I have kids in high school and driving cars. Heck, I bought my almost 16 year old a car last week ... that's old!!

You are a young mom. I am 44 almost 45 and I have a 2 year old. I am an old mom. And there is nothing wrong with that...more experience...and with kids...you need all the experience you can get. The lady at your work would have had a baby at 15. That is a child having a child. She couldn't have enough maturity and life experience to be ready to be a mom. Good luck to both of you...parenting is hard work...but age is just a number...enjoy the kids.

You are a very young mom. The 20 year old mom with a 5 year old one must have been a difficult teenager and was a kid herself, when she had her baby. I feel sorry for her, missing out on her high school activities. Nowadays, people don't start a family til they are done with there education, which could be til they are in their 30th. Its quite normal to have kids when you 30 and over.

No I do not know anyone who would consider you a "old mom" I am 25 & have a 19 month old & a 4 year old. The girl you work with is not a young mom rather a teen way too young mom.

Lol, no. You were a young mom, according to most standards ( I think the average age for a first child is 28 now, and I am 32 and have no children). Having a child at 15 is just plain stupid .
I apologize to those who had children when they were than young, I know that accidents happen, but I still think it's very stupid and utterly irresponsible.

No, you are not an old mom. If anything, the woman you speak of is too young of a mother in my opinion. My mom had me when she was 30, and even that was an ok age. I really wouldn't worry about it. And remember, age is just a number - it is how you act that matters.

You are definitely NOT an old Mom. I was 25 before I had children, my son and his wife are 27 and aren't even entertaining the idea yet! I have a friend who had a baby at 45! It's not the chronological age that matters.
