Father and son (ages 60 and 36) gave me exclusive rights to hunt a 40 acre prime parcel in Michigan's upcoming rifle season. They have all the gear and do not need fresh back straps, any ideas?? Thanks

I always send them a thank you card with a gift certificate to there favorite restaurant. And in the off months I help them out as much as I can.Anything from bale-ling hay to mowing for them AND ALWAYS THANK THEM AND OFFER SOME OF YOUR GAME OR SERVICES.DON'T FORGET TO TELL THEM WHEN YOU'LL BE HUNTING OR FISHING ON THE GROUNDS!

Wow, we would just like permission asked from the people who hunt on our land.

Like the others have said - if you see any fences down help fix them. Hey even a case of beer. I think the respect for thier property and them is what they appreciate more than any gifts.

Gift certificates are a good option. Always send a thank you card.

I've hunted the same ranch for many years . Two years ago I joined a wine club. Every month they get 2 bottles of wine, one white one red. It's on my tab and they never get solicited from that company to buy more.

Damn...I was gonna suggest fresh backstraps!
One of the guys who let me hunt there land back home wouldn't take anything in return, so, anytime I was going back to the truck and they were pitching hay, or working with the cattle, or whatever, I'd stop and pitch in, or see if they needed help.
And I always made sure to tell them of any fences down, or any sick cattle, trespassers, so on and so forth. I also hunted coyotes for them one year when we had a big population boom.

I like a big store bought turkey, as an appreciation gift especially at this time of year. You may add in an adult bererage if you know it tp be appropiate.

In a few months a big stick of venison sausage or something similar is a nice follow up.

A great idea for a personal and unique gift is a handmade painting made from a photo that you send.

Check out this site: www.paintyourlife.com

The prices are reasonable and the outcome is amazing.
