Suppose your a suburban family with 2 incomes and 2 children and live in a hectic city. Theirs is a hectic lifestyle, but the main focus of the family is on providing a happy, secure environment for their children. Typically they have one fairly large dog, such as a Labrador or a golden retriever. The dog is part of the family, and his or her major role is to be a companion for the children. Now what kind of products that would make it easier to have a dog for their children with their busy lifestyle. Something that hasnt been made or thought up as. I thought of one, but need a few more ideas. My idea was to have doormat where it was easier for the dogs paws to get cleaned before he comes inside, especially when it is rainy and muddy outside. Any other ideas for products that would sell?

Sorry folks, the coupler and doggy boots are already on the market. They are sold in pet stores and the catalogs.

There is no way you would get dogs to stop and wipe their feet. There are several dog wash things on the market too.

The family you describe should not own a dog. They are much too busy to take care of a dog properly.

I'd like to see someone comeup with a dog coupler the one side is longer than the other so if one dog is a toy breed you can still use only one leash to walk them the ones now dogs better be the same hight. (a dog coupler for thos that don't know are 2 collar hooks attached to nylon or leather short leash maybe 2-3" long with a ring in the middle to attach a leash to to walk 2 dogs at once)

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but how about a towel to wipe your dog's paws with? Part of the fun of owning a dog! How about inventing an indestructible couch or cushions - that I'll buy...

The mat sounds like a good idea, if you could get it to work. I just picture my friends retriever hopping, skipping and jumping into the house all muddy and stinky, getting it all over me, and somehow always missing their mat.

I think the 'check out a catalogue idea' from earlier was a good one too.

I wish you luck.

Doggy boots! Better than having to train a dog to wipe it's feet! Maybe the boots should have a velcro wrap on the foot for support, and so the dog doesn't kick them off.Good luck with it!
