I want to get rid of the hypertext links in a large number of documents. How do I find them other than visually?

To find hyperlinks in the document use the Find and Replace facility from the Edit menu.
Place your cursor at the start of the document
Click on Edit and choose Find
On the Find tab click More (this will expand the box)
Click on Format (at the bottom of box) and choose Style
Scroll through the list until you see Hyperlink and choose this and click OK
Now click on the Replace tab
If you want to delete the hyperlinks there is no need to type anything in here
You can now choose to Find them one by one by clicking Find Next and click Replace to delete it or you can click on Replace All to get rid of all of them in one go.

If you know how to do macros, type this in

Sub DeleteHyperlinks()
Cells.HyperLinks.Delete
End Sub

Then all you need to do is select all the data and click on the macro button, it will clean everything up.

If you need help configuring this, please don't be afraid to email me. I use the little macro all the time and it is WONDERFUL.
