I really would want to get up early to get atleast some of my ever-pending work done.. I even tried placing the alarm a little far away but didn't work, I am a heavy sleeper, I hit the snooze and go back to sleep without even realizing sometimes.. Any tips ?????

try to not just hit the snooze, try to get up and get out of bed before you hit the snooze button that way your out of bed and more awake then if your still laying down when you hit the snooze button.

I am the queen of this issue and I feel your pain. Generally, I get up earlier when I have something to be excited about or look forward to in the morning, like the day of field trips, I always noticed I had no issues with the snooze button. Going to bed earlier sometimes works, but usually it doesn't do anything for me. I do have an alarm clock that goes off multiple times, so if I hit snooze and go back to sleep, it'll go off again in, I think, 5 minutes. I also heard (though I've never tried it) that to set your internal clock and make it easier to get up in the morning, you should open your window or take a few minutes to watch the sun rise. If you drink it, you could try making coffee earlier, maybe the smell will wake you up quicker? If all else fails, you could get a friend to call or come over.

I have two alarms. One is beside the bed the other is on a shower radio in my bathroom. I have to get up and turn the one in the shower off and by the time I get there I am mostly awake and just step into the shower to prepare for my day. My husband hits the snooze button and has no trouble ignoring the alarm at all. I made him do the same thing and he has improved a lot.

set an alarm in your room, and one in the room next to you, like the living room. that way, you have to move around a bit more, which will wake you up. another option is to buy one of those really annoying bell alarm clocks that don't give you the option of hitting snooze. those ones are really loud and never fail to get my *** out of bed! also, try going to bed a little earlier, and do NOT take naps!!! i have the same problem as you, and i find that if i nap, i won't sleep that night.

good luck!!!
cheers!

Go to bed earlier and set multiple alarms. Maybe even a loud one in another room. Also set your alarm earlier so even if you do hit snooze you'll hopefully wake up about the time you need to.

You might want to try going to bed and hour and half earlier than usual.if you were realy getting enough sleep at night and it was of a good quality too then you wouldn't be so tired. You might also want to change your alarm setting to radio instead of the buzzer. Put on the most annoying music or news channel that you can think of , crank up the volume and when the alarm goes off in the morning you'll definitely wake up and stay up.Some people even put their coffee pot in their bedroom. If you get the kind that you can preprogram to go on the morning the smell of coffee brewing will wake you up!

I have the same problem what works for me is before you go to bed try to think of something that will be exciting for you the next day that way when your alarm goes off you will be reminded of the excitement and you will be anxious to start the new day, or try and make some small changes in your life so you get out of the daily routine.

I've heard someone say they placed two alarm clocks on opposite sides of the room and set them to go off at the same time... It will force you out of bed and you might get some morning exercise.

Just one far away though should do the trick.

Find a purpose in life, something your really passionate about. If you have a job that does not excite you enough to make you jump out of bed when the alarm goes off.

FIND A WAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

It only took me 46 years to find my purpose and passion, I can't wait to get up in the morning and usually do before the alarm even sounds.

Good Luck ( Live your Dreams )
