if i am viewing something in Adobe or online, and I want to search for a certain word, how would I do it??

From the Edit menu choose Find(on this page) and type in the word you want to find. Click on 'Match whole word only' to stop it finding words within words, for example the word 'din' in 'finding'.

When an Adobe or pdf document opens there may be a panel to the right-hand side with the words 'Finished searching for' (the words you used to find the document), and possibly saying Total instances found: 0
This is the search panel. To search for a particular word, click on 'New Search' and type in the word.
If this panel is not open when the pdf document opens, click on the Edit menu and choose Find and it will appear.

In adobe acrobat click the Binocular button to search for a word in the document

Do a search for the word.
Start -> Search
