I don't think so. "Oven proof" is what you need. "Microwave safe" is for use in the microwave. It's OK for containing hot food, but not OK for the heat of a conventional oven, or a grill.

No. Absolutely a bad idea that will cause you a lot of grief.

Sounds like you are a camper and want to cook on open flame outside or at a campfire? If this is the case you can bake a cake in a Dutch Oven with the lid on it. You can also bake biscuits this way as well. I don't recall the time needed to do it. Use an old time cast iron Dutch Oven as it holds and conducts the heat best.

I bet there might be a Boy or Girl Scout leader that would know the exact details. If you use glass even if Microwave proof glass you will have a broken baking dish.

In theory I would think the microwave proof glass could withstand the heat of a grill if it can be zapped.

That said, I am not sure how a cake would bake in a grill heating environment as sometimes the heat is not even.
